A Beautiful Country Home near Amsterdam
It’s hard to believe sometimes how long I’ve been blogging - since January 2006 - omg! I think it’s incredible but also pretty scary to admit how fast the time has gone by. My life has also changed in ways I would have NEVER anticipated when I started writing here over 13 years ago. But a lot of others who also started blogs after me feel the same - they are still blogging but their life has changed in many ways too. Some stopped blogging but others, like my friend Danielle from The Style Files, are still writing and view blogging as a really nice and relaxing hobby while others turned their blog into big business.
Danielle gave us a tour of her apartment in Den Hague in 2006, do you remember it? Ha ha, ok, I’m guessing no, so here is a link. After that tour, I think a few years later (maybe around 2010?) she relocated outside of Amsterdam to a big old house and renovated it and had a baby. I never gave you a tour of that house because it has been a work-in-progress ever since - with the garden and outside areas being a big focus in most recent years. BUT today, you will get the grand tour of the house BUT there is a catch. OK so it’s time to check out this gorgeous country home, just 15 minutes from Amsterdam. I wish I had the extra cash to turn this into my summer home!

Isn’t this home amazing? And that’s just the INSIDE. Imagine living in a house like this on a huge plot of land with gardens and water in the backyard where you can dock a boat to explore the canal? And a big space for the children to play? It’s so lovely, I really hope someone deserving gets this special gem of a house because I watched Danielle renovate it over the years and know how much love she put into this home and I remember when she brought her newborn son to this home… So many memories.
